Catie Skipp is an award-winning documentary filmmaker from Miami, FL whose work challenges preconceptions through intimate, character-driven storytelling. Her most recent short documentary, Monster Slayer, premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Festival and is currently screening on the festival circuit. Her previous short documentary, Florida Woman, was included in Season 7 of PBS's Reel South, which received an IDA nomination for Best Curated Series. Her producing credits include Homecoming: The Tokyo Series made in collaboration with the MLB, the feature documentary Las Sandinistas!, Netflix's Trial By Media, and Disney+'s Marvel's 616. With a focus on illuminating overlooked narratives, Skipp's films reveal the humanity behind misunderstood stories and empower voices that are often marginalized. A University of Florida graduate, she currently resides in Los Angeles.
